Proverbs 31:25

Four years ago, this sweet little ray of sunshine stole our hearts and has continued to run with them ever since.

I still have a hard time believing that! I mean, four YEARS? Just yesterday, I was sitting on the front porch swing, singing Oceans to her to help her rest while she was still in my belly.

Now, she's like a grown up. With her own opinions and ideas. She refuses to accept "mhmm" as a correct response to what she has said. She "reads" her Bible with her daddy. Sings Jesus Loves Me to her crying brother in the car. She's an encouragement to those around her. Always ready to cheer someone on. She needs to know who made her clothes and sunglasses. Like their names and where they live. Here are some things about this age that I never want to forget :

* The way she says "way up in the pie", when she's meaning to say "way up in the sky".                                                                                  *How often she asks for red Iip stick.                                                                                                                                                                 *How she always has pen/marker marks somewhere on her body from drawing us a picture.                                                                          *Her love for mailing people letters that she drew specifically for them.                                                                                                            *Her Wizard of Oz fascination and the way she says "Tato" for "Toto".                                                                                                           *The amount of outfit changes we go through in a day and her need for printed leggings with every dress.                                                                                                                                                       *The way she moves picture frames around the house so her daddy and I can see the pictures more.                                                                                                                                                         *The pep talk she gives herself when she doesn't think she can do something. "Ok. I can do this!"                                                                     *Her excitement she has for running in Silas' room in the morning to throw all of his pillows in his crib with him just to watch him play.                                                                                                       ***

And the list goes on and on.

Our future family looks a bit crazy right now, but Proverbs 31:25 is a prayer I have kept written in my heart since before Dustin and I got married and a verse I pray over my sweet HannahBear on a regular basis!

"Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she LAUGHS at the time to come"

May she ever be this joyful. This light hearted! Never burdened with the weight of the world but always trusting in the One who holds it.
